CONTINUING & COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Non-Credit Courses and Training Workshops


Continuing & Community Education is an integral part of the total program at SJR State. Continuing Education extends the college into the community through a variety of non-credit and professional development training programs reaching beyond the traditional offerings of the college.

Also... there are NO PREREQUISITES or REQUIREMENTS!


Summer Fitness Program
As part of its Workplace Wellness Program, SJR State is offering a 6 week summer fitness program to employees, students and the community:

Orange Park Campus
Fitness Boot Camp, taught by Kate Sitler
June 10 - July 18 (Mon. & Thurs., 5:45 p.m.)
Location: THCC, Suite E
Registration $50.00

Palatka Campus
Zumba, taught by Michelle Champion
June 18 - July 25 (Tues. & Thurs., 5:45 p.m.)
Location: Tuten Gymnasium
Registration $40

St. Augustine Campus -
Zumba, taught by Stefanie Billette and Brandy Hollingsworth
June 10 - July 17 (Mon. & Wed., 5:45 p.m.)
Location: New outdoor classroom - weather permitting; Rain location is building “J.”
Registration $40 for both classes or $20 for one

To register, complete the Continuing Education Registration Form and Class Waiver/Release Form and fax to (386) 312-4027 or send it to the Open Campus department before attending class. The course title will be one of the following: Fitness Boot Camp (OPC), Zumba (PAC) or Zumba (SAC). For more information, contact Britt Williams at (386) 312-4189.


In addition, continuing education programs are designed to provide training opportunities for individuals wanting to upgrade job skills, explore new career fields, or simply experience personal enrichment.

Continuing & Community Education classes cannot be used to satisfy requirements of a degree or certificate program.
