FINANCIAL AID
St. Johns River State College offers Financial Aid Programs to assist students in
meeting educational expenses.
SJR State does not discriminate in its educational programs, financial aid programs, activities,
or employment practices. SJR State admits male and female students of any race, color, nationality, or
ethnic origin to all programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the
college.
SJR State has adapted existing facilities and services in such a manner that the student has
access to all programs and services provided by the College. Appointments can be made, if needed, to
assist students; however, appointments are not usually necessary.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO FINANCIAL AID STUDENTS
If you are due to receive a balance from your financial aid award(s) for the upcoming
semester (or the current semester if classes have started), these balances are scheduled to
be disbursed through HIGHER ONE by the SJR State Business Office beginning on the day
listed below in the section “2012/2013 HIGHER ONE DISBURSEMENT DATES.”

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS INFORMATION
This message from the Financial Aid Office is to inform you that a measurement to determine Satisfactory Academic Progress Status for Financial Aid for the upcoming semester will be performed on May 2 2013, after final grades are posted for the semester just ending.
For students who have registered using financial aid for the upcoming semester, be aware that if your status falls into a category that is ineligible, your federal financial aid (for the upcoming semester) will be removed from your account on the date indicated above. This will result in your entire registration for the upcoming semester being voided for non-payment on the above date, unless your registration is paid by some other means (scholarship, personal funds, etc.) by the close of the business day, or by the date fees are due for the semester, whichever is later. BOOK AUTHORIZATION DATES
Book authorizations will be available* on the following dates:
Fall 2012 – August 6 through August 31, 2012
Spring 2013 – **December 3 through January 16, 2013
Summer 2013 – May 1 through May 17
*Your financial aid file must be complete and awarded.
**Please note that the Bookstore will be closed from noon on December 19, 2012, until January 2, 2013. Plan accordingly.
ATTENTION BRIGHT FUTURES STUDENTS
The 2011 Florida Legislative Session resulted in changes to the scholarship program effective July 1, 2011.
