IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SUMMER ENROLLMENT AND FINANCIAL AID

To All Financial Aid Recipients with Summer Enrollment Plans: For the upcoming summer semester, be aware that all registration and financial aid is under one summer term.

What you should do: In order to maximize your available aid for summer, you will need to register for ALL summer classes "up front" by the end of the initial drop/add period in May. Register for all classes you want to take at the beginning. Financial aid will then disburse (or "pay" to your student account) based on the starting date(s) of your classes. Adding a class or classes after the end of the initial drop/add period will NOT increase the amount of federal aid such as the federal Pell grant and/or federal student loans.

A note about books: summer semester book authorizations will be available from April 23rd to May 17th. As with registration, purchase all books at the beginning.

Attention Bright Futures students:
The 2011 Florida Legislative Session resulted in changes to the scholarship program effective July 1. >>

SJR State's federal school code for the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is 001523.

Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid by April 1st for the upcoming academic year.
