HOW TO
To find books and other library materials such as DVDs, music & audiobooks, search LINCC, our online catalog. The LINCC catalog provides access to the collections of St. Johns River State College and all of the Florida College System libraries.
If you have a pop-up blocker, you should turn it off or change its settings to allow pop-ups on this site and LINCC.
1. Access the LINCC catalog. This will open in a new window so you can refer to these directions and access our help pages as you use LINCC.
2. Click a search type in the Search by: box. When you search by Keywords, you are doing the broadest possible search. The catalog will look for your search terms in all parts of the record ( the title, the author, the summary if there is one, the subject headings). If you select a Title search, the catalog will only look for your terms in the Title field. If you select a Author search, the catalog will only look for your terms in the Author field. If you select a Subject search, the catalog will only look for your terms in the Subject field. Be careful using the Subject search - you must use LC Subject headings as your search terms for the best results.
3. Enter your search terms, select a campus (optional), specify a material type, and click the Search button.
4. View the results. If more than one item is found, you will be presented with a Results list. If only one item is found, you will be taken directly to the full record for that item. The full record provides all of the information about the item including complete citation information.
5. Check availability. Click the campus to see if the item is checked out or available.
6. If an item is checked out, is located at another SJR State Campus Library, or is owned by another college, you may request the item. Simply click the campus, click the Request link and provide all the information requested.
