It is the policy of St. Johns River State College not to discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, marital status, religion, age, gender, genetic information or disability in its educational programs, activities, admissions policies and practices, or employment policies. No covered person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any public K-20 education program or activity, or in any employment conditions or practices.
In accordance with the Florida Department of Education, Division of Florida Colleges, Rules Implementing the Florida Educational Equity Act, St. Johns River State College regularly notifies staff, students, applicants for employment and admission, and parents of its Equity Coordinator and its policy on nondiscrimination. In addition to being included in this notification, the policy is also located in several written documents and locations including the College Catalog, the St. Johns River State College Operating Guidelines and Procedures Manual, the District Board of Trustees Policy Manual, and on-line at SJRstate.edu.
