    NURSING (0208) (A.S. Degree) - Limited access program

    The A.S. degree in Nursing prepares students for careers as registered nurses. The program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This nursing education program, Associate of Science in Nursing, is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). This notice is to update you on laws related to health care licensure and prior criminal history. The following two items will provide you information on legislative changes and the Board of Nursing's perspective on prior criminal history and disciplinary action that may impact your eligibility to complete clinical experiences in the nursing program and that may impact your eligibility to take the NCLEX licensure examination.

As a student it is your responsibility to remain abreast of regulations and laws that impact licensure. If you have questions regarding whether this law applies to you, please consult an attorney. The college is unable to provide legal advice.

Nursing Application Deadlines:
All requirements MUST be completed before the first day of an application period.

Orange Park - Fall
Accepting applications May 1 - 31 (August enrollment)

Palatka - Fall
Accepting applications May 1 - 31 (August enrollment)

NOTE: Applications that do not make the intended semester will not "rollover" to the following semester. You must notify our office in writing prior to the next application deadline if you would like your application to be considered for the next available semester.
