SJR State Press Release November 2011 SJR State sponsors food drive Faculty, administrators and staff at St. Johns River State College's Palatka campus recently opened their hearts and pantries for the Heart of Putnam Food Pantry. The SJR State Student Services department initiated the food drive, prompting a campus-wide collection before the Thanksgiving holiday. College President Joe Pickens said the drive was an excellent opportunity for the College family to give back to the community. "I am proud to be part of an organization that is tireless in its efforts to serve and support its community. Whether it's through professional or personal service, our employees consistently rise to the occasion," he said.
