FloArts offers dance workshop, summer classes
Florida School of the Arts, located on the Palatka campus of St. Johns River State College, will hold its first North Florida Moves dance workshop on Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Master classes, taught by FloArts faculty and professional guest artists, are open to dancers age 13 and older who have at least two years of dance training.
“Participants will be able to immerse themselves in dance for the day,” said FloArts dance instructor Mary Love Ward. “We are offering a variety of beginning, intermediate and advanced classes in jazz, ballet, contemporary, Pilates, hip-hop, tap and more.”
Classes will be held in the FloArts dance studio. Dancers are required to wear proper dance attire and should bring a lunch with them. The cost is $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Space is limited; early registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, contact Ward at
