All students in the program must enroll in either of two hybrid classes - LIT 2182 Modern Irish Literature or CRW 2001 Creative Writing – in Summer Term 1 – 2017. We will explore Ireland’s rich literary history and visit the best of coastal Ireland including Dublin, Sligo, Galway, Inis Mor (Aran Islands), Dingle (site of scenes from the forthcoming Star Wars film), Killarney and the Gap of Dunloe, Kinsale, and Glendalough (monastic site of scenes from Game of Thrones). The trip will cost approx. $2200, excluding cost of lunches and dinners.

The SJR State study abroad program will be taking students to Vienna this spring to study History, Music, and the Humanities. Those students interested should prepare to register for Dr. Shealy's WOH 1022 World Civilizations since 1600, Dr. McAllister's HUM 2234 - Enlightenment and Romantic Humanities, or Dr. McAllister's MUH 2112 - Music History that will meet during the intersession between Spring and Summer.
