SJR State offers CPR recertification course
St. Johns River State College will offer a CPR for Heathcare Providers recertification course at its Palatka campus on Tuesday, April 18 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Registration for the non-credit course is $35.00.
The content of this American Heart Association BLS/CPR healthcare provider recertification course is specific to healthcare workers who have prior CPR training and current CPR certificates. The course covers current resuscitation content, and mandatory checkpoints of skills are practiced. Course content is consistent with curriculum set forth by international and electrocardiography (ECG) guidelines, the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA and the Good Samaritan Act. A score of 84% must be achieved on a written test, and certification cards are valid for two years.
SJR State’s continuing and community education courses have no prerequisites and cannot be used to satisfy the requirements of a degree or certificate program. The availability of continuing education courses is subject to change based upon demand, and additional courses may be scheduled to accommodate the needs of a group. A minimum number of students is required for each class.
