The course is intended for healthcare professionals employed in hospitals and other medical settings.
The content of the four-hour BLS/CPR healthcare provider recertification course is specific to those who have prior CPR training and current CPR certificates. Course content is consistent with curriculum set forth by international and electrocardiography (ECG) guidelines, the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA and the Good Samaritan Act. A score of 84% must be achieved on a written test, and certification cards are valid for two years.
Registration for the non-credit continuing education courses is $50 for the BLS course and $35.00 for the recertification course. These courses have no prerequisites and cannot be used to satisfy the requirements of a degree or certificate program. The availability of continuing education courses is subject to change based upon demand, and additional courses may be scheduled to accommodate the needs of a group. A minimum number of students is required for each class.
