Florida School of the Arts presents Community Dance Showcase
Dance and musical theatre majors, as well as students enrolled in elective dance courses at Florida School of the Arts, will partner for a “Dance Showcase” on Monday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m. The performance will be held on the Florida School of the Arts main stage at the St. Johns River State College Palatka campus and is free and open to the public.
FloArts dance instructor Mary Love Ward said, “This informal presentation gives all our students the opportunity to culminate their course experiences on the stage. We believe it is essential to student development to have a chance to be a performer, so this opportunity gives them insight into the career of being a professional in the theater. For some students, this will be their first time dancing or having choreography presented on stage, and we are honored to provide that avenue to them.”
Students performing in the showcase are Robert Allen, Steven Austin, Julie Barnes, Cameron Bartelt, Kiersten Bartholomew, Olivia Bleak, Mitchel Burns, Yul Carrion, Caitlin Charrier, Kacey Clark, Emely Cuestas, Markeith Douse, Christina Goodin, Bella Guzman, Gordia Hayes, Alicia Hill, Blair Kennedy, Timothy Lake, Crayton McBride, Ashley Mercado, Pascale Molina, Havilah Moore, Brooke Ponitz, Angelee Ramos, Libby Rodriguez, Yasmin Rohena, Justin Savage, Emerson Smith-von Wiegen, Maycee Smith, Carine St. Juste, Mark Wildman and Kai Wilson.
