FloArts presents community summer dance workshop
Florida School of the Arts will present its annual intensive summer dance workshop, North Florida Moves, June 4 – 8 on the Palatka campus of St. Johns River State College. Open to dancers age 13 and older with at least two years of continuous dance training, the workshop is designed to help dancers continue developing their skills. Challenging classes for both beginning and advanced level students will be offered in dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, improvisation, jazz and other special topics led by FloArts faculty and guests.
According to Dance Professor Mary Love Ward, “This is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of the college dance experience or refresh skills as professional dancers and teachers.”
The week-long experience will conclude with a performance on Friday, June 8 at 5:30 p.m. in FloArts Studio F103. The performance is free and open to the public.
Advance registration for the workshop is $50. Early workshop registration is encouraged, as space is limited. Onsite registration will be available at a cost of $55 beginning at 9:30 a.m. on the first day of the workshop. The workshop begins at 10:30 a.m. daily.
Contact Ward at 386-312-4311 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information or to register for the workshop.
