JUSTIN, WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO WANT TO BECOME A RESPIRATORY CARE THERAPIST? I originally wanted to save lives by serving my country as a Navy SEAL, but when I hurt my back, I thought that dream had died. I was inspired to become a respiratory therapist by my mother, who shared with me how she helps people every day as a respiratory therapist.
WHY DID YOU SELECT SJR STATE? I chose SJR State because of the great experience my mother and sister had in this program.
WHAT DID YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT YOUR TRAINING? The patient interaction we get from visiting the different hospitals.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE TO OTHERS WHO MAY BE CONSIDERING ENROLLING? My advice would be to develop your study habits before getting in. This program goes over a lot of material and it can be overwhelming at times, but if you have good study habits or a great study group, it can make a big difference.
