CULTURAL EVENTS
The college presents a wide variety of cultural activities in the arts including dramas, dance and musical presentations, and art exhibits. The College also offers non-credit courses (Continuing Education) to enrich your life in areas such as: Spanish for travelers; sign language; digital photography; discovery travel series and more.

The office is located on the St. Augustine Campus; however, services are available on all campuses.
Services include: interpreters in the classroom, interpreters for counselors, and video phones.

LEARNING LABS, OPEN COMPUTER LABS AND TUTORING CENTERS
The learning labs, open computer labs, and tutoring centers located on each campus are
among the resources available to SJR State students. There students can work on computers to
write papers for any class or use computer assisted instruction software for practice in composition,
math, reading, typing, vocabulary, chemistry, statistics, beginning algebra, college algebra, and
astronomy. New times are posted on the door and online at the beginning of each term.
The learning and open computer labs are open to all students during the open hours and are
located in Orange Park in A-47 and the library; in Palatka in S-207 and the library; and in St. Augustine
in the library. The tutoring center is located in Orange Park in A46; in Palatka in T-112; and in St.
Augustine in L-111.

STANDARD OF CONDUCT
An SJR State student is obligated to comply with all college regulations as stated in the college catalog and student handbook. Should a student fail this obligation, the student is subject to disciplinary action by the College. In the event of disciplinary action, college officials will act in accordance with due process procedures stated in the student handbook. The student handbook also lists actions for which students are subject to disciplinary action, penalties, appeals procedures, and a statement of student rights and responsibilities. Students receiving disciplinary probation may not officially represent the College.
STUDENT CENTERS
Palatka Campus The Viking Center is located on the Palatka Campus, first floor of the Student Services Building. The center houses guidance counseling and testing, the Career Resource Center, food services, vending machines, a games area, student lounge area, and the offices of the Student Activities Coordinator and the Student Government Association (SGA).
Normal hours of operation are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
The Vice President for Student Affairs and all Viking Center employees are responsible for the execution and administration of the regulations of the Viking Center. Use of the Center during regular operating hours is primarily reserved for SJR State students, faculty, and staff. Although visitors are welcome, parents must supervise young children and abide by the same standards of conduct and regulations expected of students.
Orange Park Campus The Orange Park Campus Student Center houses guidance counseling and testing, the Career Resource Center, food services, the Bookstore, vending machines, a games area, student activities, a community room, and the SGA offices.
St. Augustine Campus The St. Augustine Campus Center contains the Bookstore, the office of the Student Activities Director, the SGA Office, meeting rooms, vending machines, and food services.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION
The Student Government Association, through its elected student officers and representatives, promotes social, cultural, and recreational activities for all students and serves as a liaison group between the student body and the college administration.
The Student Government Association recommends the chartering of all campus organizations, appoints students to college committees, conducts the college student activities program, and recommends student activity budgets.

STUDENT HOUSING
The college assumes no responsibility for providing student housing. Students must register their local address during each registration period. Any change of address must be reported to the Records Office.
STUDENT IDENTIFICATION
While on college property, students should possess an SJR State student identification card. Students can secure this card from the Student Activities Coordinator.
