Architectual Drafting and Construction Technology
Now more than ever, jobs require technical training, and many jobs will require more than a high school diploma. SJR State offers a broad range of classes using industry standard software and equipment to prepare students for the workplace in two years or less.
APPRENTICESHIPS (Vocational Certificates)
DID YOU KNOW? Apprentices who attain a vocational certificate in a registered apprenticeship program are eligible to receive college credit toward an Associate in Science degree in Industrial Management Technology.
Apprenticeship program tuition is FREE, and apprentices get paid for their work during the cooperative portion of the program! Students only need to purchase books and supplies.
Apprenticeship is a training method that combines paid full-time work experience with classroom related instruction and is a joint effort between SJR State and an industry sponsor. Apprentices also attend class in the evening, depending upon the program. Program length varies from three to four years.
