EQUIVALENCY OF TRAINING (EOT)

The purpose of this training class is to obtain certification as an officer in Florida without first attending (or re-attending) a full basic recruit academy in Florida.

We offer eligibility for EOT Assessment for the following:

  1. Law Enforcement Officer or Correctional Officer from another state, a federal agency, or the military who are either active or have less than an eight year break in service.
  2. A former Florida Law Enforcement or Correctional Officer with more than four years break in service, but less than eight years.

Download the EOT documents and follow the instructions. We offer classes several times throughout the year. Law Enforcement Officer classes consist of 80 hours and Correctional Officer classes consist of 60 hours.
