Program Details
GED + ParaProfessional IET Course
- Receive comprehensive instruction and personalized coaching to prepare for success on both the GED® test and the ParaPro Assessment. Our program prepares you in the four GED® subject areas — Mathematical Reasoning, Reasoning Through Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies — while also building the instructional skills needed to confidently pass the ParaPro Assessment and pursue employment as a school paraprofessional. Students must be enrolled in the GED program to be eligible to participate in the Paraprofessional program.
- For added convenience, students may take the ParaPro Assessment on the SJR State Palatka Campus.
- Improve your job prospects and earning potential with the skills and credentials needed to become career-ready.
- Students are required to have an NRS score of Level 5 or higher in either reading or math. Not there yet? We'll help you get there.

Cost
A $30 registration fee is required each term for enrollment in the GED program. The Paraprofessional course fee is included in the $30 GED registration fee, so there is no additional charge to participate in the Paraprofessional program. Students must be enrolled in the GED program to be eligible to participate in the Paraprofessional program. The first attempt of the GED exams and the Paraprofessional exam are provided at no additional cost.
