DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARDS – GALA

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation has put on hold this year’s event. For more information, contact

The Distinguished Alumni Awards event celebrates SJR State's leadership in education. The evening begins with a networking reception, followed by an elegant dinner and awards ceremony.
Located in Palatka, the College was officially opened on February 25, 1958 with 191 students. In 1977, SJR State opened its first branch campus in Orange Park, and in July 1986, the College opened its second branch campus in St. Augustine at the Fullerwood School, a site made available by the St. Johns County School Board. After operating for more than nine years in the Fullerwood building, the St. Augustine faculty, staff, and students moved in January 1996 to the newly-constructed campus located on State Road 16. The College has continued to serve an educational role in higher education for all three counties, and we are proud to honor alumni who have continued to serve those counties as well.
