• B.A.S. in Organizational Management: Applicants to the Bachelor of Applied Science program must hold an Associate in Science (A.S.) in specified career fields and be motivated to continue their education in preparation for career advancement. Students with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree may also apply.

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education: This program is designed for initial teacher preparation for aspiring early childhood education students who wish to teach in preschool, prekindergarten and early elementary (grades prekindergarten through three) classrooms. Students must have completed the Associate in Arts degree program including prescribed lower-level education prerequisites prior to admission.

• B.A.S. in Organizational Management: This degree program is designed to prepare students for career advancement to the management level in a wide variety of career paths. Specializations include Supervision and Management, Public Services Administration and Health Care Administration.

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education: Students who complete the program will be prepared to teach in preschool, prekindergarten and early elementary (grades prekindergarten through three) classrooms.

B.S. in Early Childhood Education: Students can apply for admission at any point after all admissions requirements are met. Students must apply at least 3 weeks prior to the start of a new term to be considered for acceptance into that term. New cohorts will begin each fall and spring term.

• B.A.S. in Organizational Management: Students must complete a total of 120 credits to earn this bachelor's degree. As students will enter the program with an associate degree, they will be able to complete the degree in approximately two years, dependent upon evaluation of previously earned credits and/or the number of hours enrolled each term.

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education: Students must complete a total of 120 credits to earn this bachelor's degree. Currently, the programs are offered in blended and on-line formats which will allow greater accessibility to all students. The blended format will require some on-campus meeting times, which may rotate from one campus to another.

Yes, your program plan will be individualized to meet your needs.

Yes, depending upon the degree program, students will have the opportunity to take online classes, traditional classes and blended classes that combine both online and in-classroom experiences.

The program will be selective admission in that students must meet certain admission criteria prior to entry. Students who meet all admission criteria will be accepted.

Registration follows the SJR State academic calendar for fall, spring and summer semesters. Once students are notified that they have met admissions requirements, they will be eligible to register for coursework. A mandatory orientation is required for B.A.S. students prior to receiving their registration time ticket.

The anticipated cost per credit hour does not include distance learning or laboratory fees for individual courses, nor does it take into account annual increases in tuition and student fees. The total estimated cost is for in-state resident students can be found on the tuition Web page.

Yes, financial aid will be available to all eligible students.

• B.A.S. in Organizational Management: Yes, students must have earned an Associate in Science or Associate in Arts degree. There are no course prerequisite requirements for the program. Some courses may have prerequisite requirements; please consult the course descriptions for additional information.

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education: Yes, students must have earned an Associate in Arts degree with a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must complete the following prerequisite course with a grade of "C" or higher: EDF 2005 (3 credits). In addition, students must attempt the General Knowledge Test of the Florida Teacher Certification Examination with priority given to students who have passed all four sections of the test.

As with current programs, students will need to maintain continuous enrollment. Any break in enrollment of one year will result in the student meeting the requirements of the program at the time of re-entry and will include a need to reapply.

Credit transfer will be evaluated on an individual basis. All credits from a previously earned Associate Degree will be evaluated and applied as appropriate towards the bachelor's degree program. All students will have at least 60 credits given for the associate degree.

At least 60 credits will be applied toward the baccalaureate degree.

• B.A.S. in Organizational Management: Students with an A.A. degree may be admitted to the Bachelor of Applied Science degree program. At least 60 credits will be applied toward the baccalaureate degree.

• B.S. in Early Childhood Education: Students with an A.A. degree may be admitted to the Bachelor of Science degree program with the approval of the respective program dean. 60 credits from the A.A. degree will be applied toward the baccalaureate degree.

Yes, courses earned at other institutions can be transferred. The determination of transferability will be made in accordance with SJR State policies for course transfer.

• The Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Management is not a limited-access program, but may be considered a selective-access program.

• The Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education is not a limited-access program, but may be considered a selective-access program.

Yes, these programs are a part of our open-door policy, but students must meet admission criteria prior to entry.

Yes, students will have to reapply once they receive their associate degree.

Students will need to complete a minimum of 30 credits of upper division (3000-4000 level) semester credit hours at SJR State including the senior year internship/capstone course.

Students will not be able to pursue both degrees at the same time. Students will only be able to complete one specialization of the Organizational Management degree.

Students will need to have a cumulative 2.0 GPA to graduate from the Organizational Management program and a 2.5 GPA to graduate from the Early Childhood Education program.

The standard Florida foreign language upper division requirement must be met for graduation. Students must have completed two years of the same foreign language in high school or 8 credits in college to meet the graduation requirements.
