SJR State offers non-credit introductory computer course
St. Johns River State College will offer an Introduction to Computers course on its Palatka campus. A study of basic microcomputer applications with hands-on laboratory exercises, the non-credit course is designed to introduce students to microcomputing and the Windows environment. Students will learn how to use the mouse and the keyboard as well as menu commands including editing, copying and moving text.
Classes will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on four consecutive Saturdays, from October 21 through November 11. There is a $79.00 fee, which is payable at the time of registration. The course has no prerequisite and cannot be used to satisfy the requirements of a degree or certificate program.
The availability of continuing education courses is subject to change based upon demand, and additional courses may be scheduled to accommodate the needs of a group. A minimum number of students is required for each class, so students are encouraged to sign up with a friend. For more information, call SJR State’s Open Campus at (386) 312-4211 or visit the website at SJRstate.edu/continuinged.html to download a registration form.
