Real estate pre-licensing course begins October 23

The St. Johns River State College and First Coast School of Real Estate partnership continues to provide a 63-hour pre-licensing course that is open to all members of the community. The course will be offered on SJR State’s Orange Park campus.

The real estate pre-licensing course is planned for Tuesday and Thursday evenings, October 23 – December 18, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. Students are required to complete 63 classroom hours, followed by passing a classroom exam with a score of 70 percent or higher. Passing the pre-licensing test permits students to take the state Real Estate Sales Associate Exam, which requires a score of 75 percent or higher to pass.

FCSRE President and Co-founder Stanley Bishop, a longtime resident of Clay County and graduate of SJR State, said, “It is an honor to be able to partner with the college I once attended. I believe this partnership will fill a void in the Northeast Florida area for students who are seeking an exciting and rewarding career in real estate.” Bishop added that he can personally attest to the variety of benefits that come from holding a real estate license. “Being a realtor myself, I know the many benefits this career can have,” he stated, “including opening so many doors for financial freedom and personal growth. Having a real estate license is one of the best decisions I made for my career.”
