SJR State to co-host second COVID-19 vaccine “walk-up” site

St. Johns River State College and Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church will partner again on Friday, April 30 to bring Putnam County residents a walk-up COVID-19 vaccination site – preregistration is NOT required. Residents who are 18 years of age and older will qualify for the vaccine. The walk-up site will be available 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the SJR State Palatka campus Viking Center, located at 5001 St. Johns Avenue.

The vaccine will be provided by either Moderna or Pfizer and will require a second vaccination to be administered at the College in May. The date is yet to be determined.

Those attending should bring ID to confirm age and proof of Florida residency.

Additional sponsoring churches are The House of God Church, Pentecostal COGIC, St. Paul Church, Emerge Church, Bethel AME Church and Church of God By Faith.

Proper social distancing will be implemented on campus to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and health care workers. Face masks are also required on campus.
