SJR State offers “Fast Track Enroll Now” scholarships to first-timers
St. Johns River State College is ready to help high school seniors jump start their college education this summer with free classes.
According to the Florida College System Foundation, a decline in the postsecondary continuation rate of high school completers has led to an immediate need to promote enrollment at FCS institutions. One solution was recently announced by the Florida Student Success Center - in partnership with the FCS Foundation and with the generous support from the Helios Education Foundation, the Fast Track Enroll Now Scholarship Program is available through May 1.
SJR State has received funds to support summer enrollment for 2020 and 2021 high school graduates impacted by COVID-19. The scholarship includes tuition for up to two summer courses and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, as funds are limited.
The Fast Track Enroll Now Scholarships are limited to first-time-in-college high school completers who enroll fulltime or part time in the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree programs. To qualify, students must have graduated from an accredited high school program during the 2020 or 2021 academic year without attending a higher education institution. Current dual enrollment students who will graduate in May 2021 do qualify.
The last day to apply for Summer full term and Summer A is April 26. Summer full term and Summer A registration runs through May 11. Summer full term classes run May 12 – August 10. Summer A classes run May 12 through June 25.
The last day to apply for Summer B is June 11. Summer B registration runs through June 24. Classes run June 28 – August 10.
The scholarship application must be emailed to by May 1. In-person applications will not be accepted. The application can be found online at https://www.sjrstate.edu/scholarships.html
