Florida School of the Arts announces holiday exhibit winners

Halley Smith was awarded first place in the Elementary division category.

Ava Beck

Ava Beck was awarded first place in the Middle School category.

Winners from the  " ’Tis the Season" K-12 exhibition were honored Thursday during the opening reception at Florida School of the Arts. More than 70 local budding artists in Putnam County submitted holiday-themed art for the juried student exhibition.

The exhibit was judged by local artist Patrick Rousch. Awards for work in high school, middle school and elementary school were presented.

Elementary division:
1st Halley Smith
2nd Mara Tolentino
3rd Easton Baggs

Middle School:
1st Ava Beck
2nd Alexis Carney
3rd Mariah Dallas

High School:
1st Lorelai Walker
2nd Jordan Beverly
3rd Gianna Bohannon
Honorable Mention - Abbigail Graham

The exhibit is free and open to the public and runs through January 10. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and during main stage performances.
