Florida School of the Arts presents Juried Student Exhibition winners

The talent and skills of visual arts students from Florida School of the Arts was showcased in the Juried Student Exhibition Thursday. Paintings, drawings, prints, photography and digital work were judged by local artist and sculptor Pam Holthouser. According to FloArts gallery director Sarah Alexander Bjorn, guest jurors give students fresh constructive feedback from an outside perspective.

- Gabriela Vasilievich received second place for "Cubist Self-Portrait" (drawing)
- Sierra Angel received third place for "Tangled" (drawing)
- Honorable Mention goes to Veronica Vega "Golden Spiral" and Kaylyn Lyons "Genesis"
The exhibition is free and open to the public and will be on display until December 9. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and during main stage performances.
Serving the entire state of Florida, FloArts is part of the academic and administrative structure of St. Johns River State College and awards associate degrees in acting, dance performance, musical theater, stage management, theater technology, graphic design/new media and studio art. Admission is based on an audition or portfolio review, an interview with the faculty and admission to SJR State.
