FloArts acting instructor and play director Ryan Mahannah invites you to lean into the absurdity, let go of expectations, and allow yourself to laugh loudly and often. “Comedy has a way of sneaking in truths we might not notice otherwise, and this script delivers plenty of both big laughs and surprising insights,” Mahannah said.
“At its heart, this play reminds us of why we are so drawn to games in the first place,” he said. “Sports challenge us, unite us, divide us, and sometimes frustrate us, but they always teach us something about who we are as people. And in true comedic fashion, this show takes those lessons and flips them upside down for us to laugh at, rethink, and maybe even recognize in ourselves.”
Whether you’re a die-hard fan, a casual observer, or someone who has never picked up a ball in your life, the play offers something for you.
The cast includes: Isabella Casillas, Lillian Johnson, Emma Begley, Andrew McClellen, Emma Decker and Kailani Jackson.
Production includes assistant director, Jasmine Bruce; stage manager, Indigo Rygiel; sound and lighting design, Chandler Caroccio; scenic design, Tim Castell; costume design, Tiffany Jordan.
