SJR State law enforcement cadets recognized
Chief of Police Randy Case, Orange Park Police Department
Cadets from the St. Johns River State College Criminal Justice Academy were recently recognized for completing the Florida Law Enforcement Academy program.
The guest speaker was Chief of Police Randy Case from the Orange Park Police Department.
During the ceremony, Daniel Hughes was awarded for the Highest Academic Achiever and the Most Proficient in Firearms. Tanner Yirka was awarded for Highest Academic Achiever.
Jose Gomez and Dylan Osborne were awarded with the Medallion Award.
The graduates include Jordy Bailey, Remington Bleak, Guenevere Boivin, Molly Burt, Jared Cottrell, Dale Dibble, Jose Gomez, James Ezelle, Ryan Foley, Dylan Frometa, Daniel Hughes, Randy Husted, Caleb Jacoby, Nathaniel Joy, Christopher Kimball, Lance Kraemer, Ethan Lamb, Todd Lee, Michael Llanes, Christopher Mehl, Charles McMullin, Dylan Osborne, Christopher Parra, Patrick Privitera, Jonathan Ramirez, Leslie Schuh, David Simmons, Chelsea Singletary, Clayton Silva, Ryan Stephens, Anthony Striano, Christopher Szczepanski, Jaiden Turner, Jarett Turner, Kaleb Varady, Alejandro Velez, Adam Waloch, Joshua Whitehead, Ayden Williams, David Wilson and Tanner Yirka.
Located at the St. Augustine campus, SJR State’s Criminal Justice Academy provides job-related training to prepare cadets for entry-level employment in the field. Upon completion of the certificate programs, cadets will be eligible to take the state certification exam. The certificates also provide credit hours that can be transferred to SJR State’s associate in science degree in criminal justice technology.

Applications for the new Bachelor of Science In Criminal Justice, Applied Intelligence Studies and the Associate in Science in Paralegal Studies are available online. Classes begin in August.
