Vikings baseball to retire Straw, Lowe jerseys Feb. 1

Join us Sunday, Feb. 1 at 1:30 pm on Tindall Field (SJR State Palatka Campus) and celebrate the outstanding legacy of former baseball players Myles Straw (#12) and Nathaniel Lowe (#30) whose excellence as 2015 team players - and now major leaguers - has left a lasting legacy on the Vikings’ program and SJR State history.

Straw (Toronto Blue Jays) and Lowe (Boston Red Sox) will return to SJR State for a special ceremony and retirement of their jerseys. According to head coach Ross Jones, the two are among the most impactful players the program has had, contributing to a 47-10 season, a mid-Florida Conference Championship, and a Final Four appearance in the state’s Division I tournament in 2015.
