Lady Vikings win District, return to World Series

For the third year in a row, the Vikings softball team at St. Johns River State College has clinched the South District title and will advance to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Spartanburg, South Carolina, May 19-24.

The Vikings defeated Marion Military Institute Saturday in game three of the best-of-3 South Regional in Madison, Alabama for the NJCAA DII South District title.

The team’s ranking and tournament brackets will be unveiled during a live seeding watch party May 12 at 4:00 p.m. in Valhalla Hall (Building A) on the SJR State Palatka Campus.
