Celebrate with us – It’s the Semi Quincentennial

America 250 Florida

As the United States of America marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, St. Johns River State College reflects on the history, ideals and people who have shaped our nation.

This milestone is more than just a historical date; it’s an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come as a nation, appreciate the efforts and sacrifices that have shaped our country, and consider the future we want to create. For college students, this moment is also a reminder of the impact your generation will have in shaping what comes next.

In recognition of this historic milestone, SJR State will host a series of free events throughout the spring and summer 2026 semesters. These activities will provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and the community to reflect on America’s past and look ahead to the nation’s future.
