Digital badges, also known as micro credentials, allow recipients to showcase to prospective employers completed courses that include the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success in the workplace.
Digital badges can:
- Be included on your resumé, college co-curricular transcript, job applications, social media and more to represent vital, transferrable skills for the workplace.
- Alert employers that you have competencies for which they are looking.
- Distinguish you from other candidates and applicants.
Students earn digital badges at no additional cost by completing general education courses built into associate in science, associate in arts and baccalaureate degree programs. Florida's 12 state universities and 28 state colleges will automatically award the nationally recognized digital badges demonstrate career readiness upon successful completion of the required coursework.
Students completing required course work will receive an email to their SJR State student email address from St. Johns River State College Badging (email@example.com) with instructions on how to claim the badge.
