Now that you have officially become an SJR State Viking, it is important that you are aware of the information and many services available to assist you in making the most of your college expectations and your SJR State experience. We encourage you to take responsibility for achieving your own success, ask questions and take advantage of our support services.

Don’t forget to utilize the student portal - MySJRstate - regularly. The MySJRstate portal provides students with access to registration, e-mail, records, courses, calendars, Canvas and more - all from one secure, customized location.

CARE Counselor - On Campus and Virtual Counseling
Are you struggling with anxiety or stress? Need to talk to someone? Meet with a professional (CARE) Counselor. This is a confidential and free service that is available to all SJR State students.

Digital Badges
Digital badges, also known as micro credentials, allow recipients to showcase to prospective employers completed courses that include the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success in the workplace.

Honors Program
Are you up for the challenge? The Honors Program was created to offer outstanding and motivated students the opportunity to realize and reach their full academic potential.

It’s available for any SJR State student who needs a few essentials. Discreetly pick up essential items as needed – no questions asked! The Viking Exchange is available during College operating hours and provides a casual atmosphere for students to stop by! Three locations: Each campus Library.
