Vikings Days of Service
In the fall of 2019, SJR State launched Vikings Days of Service. This initiative provides faculty, staff and students two opportunities to engage with and serve the communities within our service area of Clay, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
The fall event, Vikings Fall into Service, is scheduled on the Friday closest to September 11, the National Day of Service and Remembrance for the first responders who served and the those who lost their lives on 9/11.
The spring event, Vikings Spring into Service, is scheduled the Friday after the three-day Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend, honoring the holiday and National Day of Service.
These days of service bring our college community together to make a positive impact as we celebrate helping others, encourage community involvement, and a foster a commitment to volunteering.
