To all of our valued veterans and their families using VA Education benefits:
St. Johns River State College, designated a 2023-2024 Military Friendly® School! and given a Military Spouse Friendly® School Designation, has received updated guidance from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs regarding online modality waivers. As of December 31, 2021, the online modality waivers expire. Starting January 1, 2022 veterans must register for at least one class to be taken on-campus and the rest may be taken online in order to receive in-state housing allowance.
In addition, VA will require the veteran to verify monthly enrollment to receive his or her monthly housing allowance for terms starting on or after December 17, 2021. Please be sure to contact the VA (888) 442-4551 or reach out to the Financial Aid Office (904) 276-6749 for additional guidance.
