Vikings end season with accolades
Student-athletes from the St. Johns River State College baseball, softball and volleyball teams ended their seasons with notable honors.
BASEBALL
Academic All-American Team
First Team: Myles Liggans, Ryan Scarry, Jack Slater
Second Team: Tripp Davis, Jarrett Maresco
Third Team: Michael Furry, Tyson Greene
DII FCSAA All-Tournament Team: Aiden Mastantuno, Andon Lewis, Kaleb Freeman,
Maverick Stallings, Connor McBride, Logan Schmidt, and Jarett Maresco.
Most Outstanding Pitcher: Jarrett Maresco
Most Outstanding Player: Aiden Mastantuno
DII All-FCSAA Baseball Team
Kaleb Freeman, Maverick Stallings, Connor McBride and Layton Deloach
Pitcher of the Year: Connor McBride
Fireman of the Year: Layton Deloach
Florida College System Activities Association Coach of the Year: Ross Jones
In addition to the baseball team’s history-making appearance at the World Series, the team ended their season maintaining a cumulative 3.28 team GPA.
SOFTBALL
Division II All-FCSAA/All-Tournament Team: Kendall Catherwood.
Division II All-FCSAA/All-NJCAA Region 8: Kendall Catherwood, Nicolette Luzzi-Salerno and Emily Stewart.
All-Sun Lakes Conference (First-Team): Kendall Catherwood, Nicolette Luzzi-Salerno and Emily Stewart.
All-Sun Lakes Conference (Second-Team): Emily Griffin, Cadence Winder, and Lexi Phillips.
Academic All-American Team

VOLLEYBALL

The volleyball team ended their season maintaining a cumulative 3.54 team GPA.
The beach volleyball team ended their season maintaining a cumulative 3.42 team GPA.
