SJR State law enforcement cadets recognized

Cadets from the St. Johns River State College Criminal Justice Academy were recently recognized for completing the Florida Law Enforcement Academy program.

The guest speaker was Randy Case, Orange Park Chief of Police.

During the ceremony, Courtney Wolf received the Academic Achiever award for the highest GPA. Brent Clyde received the Most Proficient in Firearms award.

The graduates include Paul Adams, Derek Bailey, Nathanial Becker, Brent Clyde, Jesse Devane, Tyrel Emig, Timothy Hanes, Christopher Haney, Brandon Jackson, Melanie Lynn, Tristan Mack, Jared Marquez, Jason Marsh, Mark Mastellone, Nelson Moser, Dalton Price, Nickolas Rockwell, Matthew Rucci, Joan Sanchez, Joseph Shannon Jr., Ashley Sutch, Kiara Tolbert, Brandon Trentman, Jason Urmanic, Ashleigh Williams, Courtney Wolf and Micah Wynne.

Located at the St. Augustine campus, SJR State’s Criminal Justice Academy provides job-related training to prepare cadets for entry-level employment in the field. Upon completion of the certificate programs, cadets will be eligible to take the state certification exam. The certificates also provide credit hours that can be transferred to SJR State’s associate in science degree in criminal justice technology.
