Palatka campus graduates for Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) graduates
St. Johns River State College recently held a pinning ceremony to recognize the Practical Nursing (LPN) and Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) graduates. A continued tradition of Florence Nightingale, the pinning ceremony symbolizes the rite of passage into the nursing profession and the care and devotion nurses provide. Graduates received a pin that serves as a reminder of their purpose to serve the sick and infirmed.
PN graduates from the Orange Park and Palatka campus programs include: Saul Alcineus, Jr., Mia Bogart, Amy Bowman, Edeline Brevile, Myriam Estima, Tricia Gravatt, Christine Guerrero, Tramese Hendricks, Aaliyah Henley, LaNisha Holloway, Joseph June, Laura Kachan, Kaylee Kimble, Brittney Langley, Candace McDaniel, Samantha Moore, Terri Reiber, Victoria Rivera, Marlana Simmons and Felicia Turner.

During the ceremony, Marc Rucker, Ethan Quinn, Felicia Turner and Marlana Simmons were awarded the Florence Nightingale Award for demonstrating outstanding compassion toward others, leadership in class and devotion to clients and their families. The Academic Excellence Award was presented to Cheyenne Manders, Virginia Strickland, Kaylee Kimble and Brittney Langley.
SJR State’s nursing programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
