DUAL ENROLLMENT, EARLY ADMISSION, EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM

Dual to Degree


Congratulations on completing high school and getting a head start on your college journey through dual enrollment! Are you ready to continue toward your educational goals at SJR State? We’re here to help you complete the next steps.

  1. Complete the SJR State Readmission Application
    • Click “Starting a new application”
    • Answer “YES” to “Have you ever submitted an application?”
    • Answer questions that follow to complete a “Readmission Application” and avoid the application fee.
    You may receive an error message stating the application is suspended. This information will be reviewed and corrected by the Admissions Department staff and then added to your existing record to change your status.
  2. Request permission to enroll in summer A classes. THIS STEP ONLY FOR SUMMER A ADMISSION.
    • Verify eligibility: 2.0 or better GPA in at least 12 credit hours of dual enrollment classes.
    • Compose a short statement of why you wish to take classes in summer A.
    • Get graduation eligibility statement from guidance counselor with expected graduation date.
    • Submit these via email or mail to:

  3. Submit transcripts.

    FINAL high school transcript and transcripts from any colleges/universities, other than SJR State, where you’ve taken dual enrollment courses, should be submitted to the address below AFTER you graduate.

  4. Complete Online Orientation, AFTER you get your acceptance letter with your student ID.

    The online orientation is accessible through the student portal via Canvas, once your student account is complete. The online orientation course will remain in your Canvas queue for one year, as a reference guide for your convenience.
  5. Contact Advising to request an appointment.
  6. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    You should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible, even if you think you will not qualify for aid. Many students do qualify. SJR State's federal school code is 001523.
  7. Complete the Bright Futures application after October 1.
  8. Apply for SJR State Scholarships.
