SJR State announces two new programs for fall
After a successful launch of eight new programs in 2024-25, St. Johns River State College continues to expand its academic offerings with two new associate degree programs for the 2026 fall semester.
According to SJR State President Joe Pickens, “These new programs will help us respond to the strong projected job outlook by bringing both convenient and affordable career options to our traditional students and to those seeking additional skill sets or a career change,” he said.
CRIME SCENE TECHNOLOGY & FORENSIC SCIENCE
This Associate in Science in Crime Scene Technology and Forensic Science is a two-year (60 credit hours) degree program (online except for labs) that prepares students for fast-paced, high demand positions such as Crime Scene Technician, Crime Scene Investigator, Forensic Photographer, or Fingerprint Examiner. Students will step into the world of crime scene and forensic science and learn how real investigations unfold. Students will also gain practical skills and insider knowledge used every day by crime scene and forensic science professionals.
AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The Associate in Science degree in Agribusiness Management (Horticulture Technician specialization) is a two-year (60 credit hour) degree program that prepares students for employment as an agricultural professional, manager or supervisor. The content includes but is not limited to, instruction that prepares individuals to apply the economic and business principles involved in the organization, operation and management of agricultural businesses.
